Stars co-general manager Brett Hull and Avery will meet commissioner Bettman at 10:30am on Thursday in New York.
Yesterday's comments are not the first time Avery ran his mouth in public. Earlier in the season while doing an interview on ESPN, Avery took some shots to both the NHL and captain Jarome Iginla of the Calgary Flames.
"Our commissioner hasn't realized that he needs to probably do a better job of marketing the game and certainly some of the players in it. Nobody cares about Jarome Iginla and guys like that. They're just not exciting enough. They don't bring enough to the game."
The NHL doesn't need Sean Avery. What does he bring to the game? Nothing !
He's like a little kid, all he wants is the attention. Why not send him to the minors for the remainder of the season? He'll get all the attention he wants there!
