Seven - Caps fail to tap into Carolina’s lead

I watched the Pittsburgh-Washington game on the NBC game of the week yesterday, (the Nothing But Crosby network), and it was a pretty good game. seanramblings.blogspot.com 3/10/2008 — I love attending the Pittsburgh Penguins-Washington Capitals games in DC. Even though the Caps are the home team and play in their home arena, the game seems as close to a neutral site as you will find because of the even amount of fans supporting each team. You couldn’t have asked for a better game on Sunday as Sidney Crosby scored the game-winning goal with 30 seconds remaining.

nhlpens.com 3/10/2008 — The Pittsburgh Penguins scored 2-goals in the last 30-seconds of the game to break a 2-2 tie and beat the Washington Capitals 4-2 on Sunday. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury kept the Penguins in the hunt as they were outshot 33-13 through the first 2-periods. In the final period, however, the Penguins found their offense and outshot the Capitals 13-5. The tie-breaking goal was a heartbreaker for ...
