I had spent hours today trying to convince my father to treat me to another Sharks game. I'm pretty cheap with my money, since I don't earn that much from my job. After Monday night's thrilling goal-fest against Montreal, I was excited to see another Canadian team that doesn't get to make the trip to San Jose very often. However, my efforts proved to be futile, and I was parked comfortably in my Sharks pajamas at Sofa City. Nevertheless, I'm still wanted to provide coverage for you fin heads out there. Going into the game, the one thing I emphasized again was to stay out of the penalty box. The Senators have the number one power play in the entire NHL, and what happens into the first minute of the game? Torrey Mitchell takes a penalty. Thankfully, the Sharks' penalty kill was successful and killed it. Throughout the first period, the Sharks looked a little sloppy. The Sharks spent quite a bit of the period in their own end.
