Shea Stadium: Mets' first miracle

 
Flushing Meadows Municipal Stadium, the new ballpark being built in Queens, would be named after Bill Shea, a tribute to the man who had returned NL baseball to New York after the departures of the Dodgers and Giants following the 1957 season. (link)
