Should FBI End Roger Clemens Investigation?

 
Congressman Anthony Weiner asks the FBI to end the Roger Clemens investigation. Last week, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform asked the Justice Department to investigate whether the seven-time Cy Young Award winner lied under oath to Congress during its probe into the Mitchell Report on performance-enhancing drugs in baseball. Clemens' former trainer Brian McNamee told former Sen. George Mitchell he injected Clemens with steroids and human growth hormone numerous times, an allegation the Rocket continues to challenge.   Committee chairman Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) and Rep. Tom Davis of Virginia, the committee's ranking Republican, said Clemens' denials were contradicted by evidence gathered during the committee's investigation—including testimony from the Rocket's longtime friend and teammate, Yankee pitcher Andy Pettitte.
