Sir Alex Ferguson: Paul Scholes' Handball Was Instinctive! Yeah, Right

 
Working in a pub has its advantages. You get drinks bought for you and, chances are, there's football on the box that you can watch at a quiet moment. While I was working last night, I managed to catch glimpses of the Manchester United vs. Zenit St. Petersburg game, and witnessed a moment of sheer stupidity from Paul Scholes. Players have been known to try and use their hands in football, most famously Diego Maradonna. However, Scholes had no chance whatsoever of getting away with what he did, as it was completely obvious. I couldn't stop laughing in between pulling pints. Even funnier still, Sir Alex Ferguson has defended Scholes, saying what he did was "instinctive." Yes, you read that right. Maybe if Scholes was playing volleyball, yes, but he plays a game called football. The key part of that word being foot , i.e. that you use your feet. Is Ferguson losing his mind? I'll let you be the judge of that. What Scholes did is also blatant cheating. He should be banned for much more than ... (link)
