Skins sign a UFA

 
Skins signed safety Stephen Tate from Hofstra, an un-drafted kid. Here's the info from the team: Tate (5-11, 184) played both the safety and cornerback positions at Hofstra University. A four-year letterman, he totaled 123 tackles (66 solo) and two interceptions in 42 games with 12 starts. Tate was invited to participate on a try-out basis at Redskins mini-camp on May 2-4.
