Everton 0 - Chelsea 0 (Premier League, December 22, 2008) (Longer highlights here .) With Everton lining up without a recognised striker, Chelsea enjoyed the better of the possession in the first half without being able to make it count.
But the game came to life in the 35th minute when John Terry made a reckless challenge on Leon Osman, and the Chelsea skipper saw a straight red. (First half highlights here .) The second half was a snorefest and a poor advert for the Premier League, made slightly more interesting by a disallowed goal for offside against Everton that appeared to be “scored” by Ballack. (Second half highlights here .)
