Some more thoughts on that jersey guy and the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry

 
I will squawk about tonight’s Yankees’ win in the morning. But I just wanted to say a few more things about this weekend’s Yankees-Red Sox series, as well as discuss the construction worker who buried a David Ortiz jersey in the new Stadium concrete. I wrote on Monday afternoon that I thought that the authorities ought to lock that jersey guy up and throw away the key. This proved to be quite the controversial statement. Squawker reader NationMember wrote: “Are you serious? Please tell me you we’re fooling around! IT WAS A BLEEPING PIECE OF CLOTHING!!!!” NationMember, one of my brothers highlighted your post and sent it to me, because he agreed with you, and thought I was a wee bit over the top in my comment! How do you like that? Anyhow, prankster Gino Castigno wanted to make a spectacle of himself. He wanted the attention. He wanted the headlines. Well, he’s got all the attention in the world now.
