Edgar Sosa retained his WBC light flyweight title on Saturday night with a seventh-round knockout of Juanito Rubillar.
The 29-year-old Sosa (34-5-1, 18 KOs), who defended his title for the seventh time in 20 months, took control of the fight in the fourth round. A powerful left hook in the seventh rattled Rubillar, and Sosa kept throwing punches until the referee stopped the bout.
