The Jets have a new man in the front office. His name is Scott Cohen, who has been hired for the newly-created position of assistant general manager, according to a source.
Cohen, 39, spent the last seven seasons as the Eagles’ director of pro personnel. He also has worked with the Jaguars and Redskins.
The Jets have yet to announce the move.
Cohen, who will work directly under GM Mike Tannenbaum, has a strong background on the pro side of the scouting department. The Jets had been looking to add more experience to that side of the personnel department, and Cohen - a veteran of 16 years in the NFL - fits the bill.
