According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen and Ed Werder, two sources have confirmed that Vikings head coach Brad Childress wants a decision from retired quarterback Brett Favre on if he will come out of retirement to sign with the Vikings or stay retired.
On Sunday evening, the report came out that Favre had recently undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right arm, showing that he is serious about un-retiring for a second consecutive season to play in Minnesota.
According to the report Sunday, Favre was throwing but his arm did not feel "100 percent." Sources close to him have said he is reluctant to come out of retirement if his arm's health does not make significant progress in the future.
Favre came out of retirement last season to play for the New York Jets but was injured during the final part of the 2008 season. A ligament in his right arm suffered a partial tear, making it painful to throw the ball.
