News briefs……
Tampa Bay will get the number one pick in this summer’s draft while Atlanta drafts in the 3rd position. The Hurricanes stayed at 14th.
It looks like Cam Ward and Eric Staal will play for team Canada in the world championships next month. Other Carolina players might participate as well. I’ll keep an eye on that and will make an update later on.
There are some good, geographical match-ups in these playoffs. The Devils/Rangers series will be awesome and the Capitals/Flyers series is another tough one. I will make my official picks a bit later on.
I’m doing some maintenance and upgrading tonight, so the post is a bit shorter than normal. Wish me luck.
