For DiPietro, tonight's All-Star Game is chance for goalie to showcase talent on a national stage If there's one thing Rick DiPietro was looking forward to about his first NHL All-Star Game appearance tonight in Atlanta, it was the chance to play on the same team with Devils rival Martin Brodeur, his goaltending idol. But Brodeur's decision to bypass the game for personal reasons opened the door for DiPietro to be named the starter for the Eastern Conference yesterday. (link)
