The San Antonio Spurs vowed to make their team better after an early exit in the playoffs this season, and they are making the first steps toward that.
The Milwaukee Bucks agreed to send Richard Jefferson to the Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Fabricio Oberto, and Kurt Thomas.
Jefferson is scheduled to make $15 Million in 2010-11, and now Joe Alexander can slip into the Bucks' starting five. Bowen's contract will allow the Bucks to cut him immediately, meaning he will most likely end up back in San Antonio.
Jefferson adds another scoring option to the Spurs lineup after averaging nearly 20 points last season with the Bucks. Team him up with Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili and you have a potent lineup, making the Spurs an immediate contender in the West.
Fabricio and Thomas are both in the last season of their contracts, making it possible for Milwaukee to re-sign Charlie Villanueva and Ramon Sessions.
Or maybe they will become another team throwing cash at Lebron?
