It is now official, Michael Strahan is retired, and he says there’s no chance he’s coming back.
There was no crack in the door left open or no tenth of a percent chance of a return left dangling at Strahan’s retirement press conference today. He said his 15-year career is over, he’s done everything he’s wanted to do, and there really is “no chance” anyone will see him running out of the tunnel wearing a Giants’ uniform again.
“When you still know you can do something, but you’re choosing not to do it, you still have those mornings where you wake up and have the feeling,” Strahan said. “I still get that. But I just know that it’s not in my best interests to do it anymore. So I just have to get over that. There’s not going to be a chance of all of a sudden I’m running out of the tunnel with my uniform on. It’s not going to happen.”
