The New England Patriots will get their shot at revenge when they face the Giants in Week 4 of the preseason this summer.
OK, maybe not revenge. By then, it’s more likely that not a single Patriots starter will be playing and no Giants starters will be playing past the first quarter. But still, for what it’s worth, the teams will meet at Giants Stadium in late August for the first time since Super Bowl XLII.
The Giants will open the preseason in Charlotte against the Carolina Panthers. Then they’ll play host to the Cleveland Browns on Monday night, Aug. 18, in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPN. They will be the road team at Giants Stadium in Week 3 in their annual preseason tilt against the Jets, before they wrap things up at home against the Patriots.
Actual dates and times of the games should be released when the NFL releases the entire preseason and regular-season schedule sometime in the next few weeks.
