Sylvester Croom Resigns: What Does This Mean for the SEC West?

According to ESPN, Mississippi State’s head coach Sylvester Croom resigned. You can read more about this by clicking on this link . Sylvester Croom is a class act, but, unfortunately for him, that does not build programs and win football games. In five years, Croom only had one winning season and that was in 2007, when the Bulldogs finished 8-4. His overall record as the head coach of MSU is 21-37, but if Croom was forced to resign, he can blame Ole Miss. Ole Miss was never really a threat to MSU during the Croom Era. As for as recruiting, LSU was the biggest threat to both schools, but now Ole Miss has Houston Nutt and in his first year as the Rebels head coach the Rebels finished 8-4 and second in the West.
