For the record UNC has already knocked Louisville out of the NCAA Tournament today. The Tar Heel women rallied to knock of the Cardinals in women’s Sweet Sixteen. We can only hope that is a sign of things to come with the Tar Heels doing the same to the men’s team in the regional final. Comments when I have them, feel free to do the same. GO HEELS!

Hansbrough wills North Carolina to San Antonio

Carolina’s sensational junior forward simply willed North Carolina to victory in Charlotte’s East Regional Final on Saturday. His 28-point, 13-rebound effort punched the ‘Heels a ticket to the 2008 Final Four in San Antonio. It was a tremendous big-game performance by a tremendous big-game performer.

Greg Gumbel concluded the halftime show of today’s North Carolina-Louisville game with this piece of information, "It is left to me to point out that Mr. Kellogg is the one who predicted that all four no. 1’s will head to San Antonio." Yeah, Clark Kellogg, my 62 year-old great aunt, and 75% of everyone else who does not watch college basketball until March.

Ladies and gentleman, adults and children, anyone that knows (or thinks they know) anything about college basketball, if you watched last night's game between top ranked North Carolina (36-2) and third seeded Louisville (27-9) then you must admit that there can only be one candidate for national Player of the Year.
