Tevez Drags Up Chelsea Age Debate

 
During the summer Sir Alex Ferguson gave an interview which referred to our main title challengers, Chelsea. Rather than claiming they were too old to win the league , as the headlines reported the following day, Ferguson questioned how much room for improvement there was in a team whose best players were in the 30s. Carlos Tevez has today suggested that with the likes of Frank Lampard, Deco, Nicolas Anelka, Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho, and Michael Ballack not getting any younger, Chelsea will struggle to compete for the remaining three competitions. "I think they are a great team," said Tevez of Chelsea. "But I also think that as it is for me, at 24 years of age, it is sometimes very hard to recover and play Sunday and Wednesday. I would imagine that for some of the Chelsea guys that are much older it would be even harder. "I think that the intensive Christmas schedule will take its toll on them because they have some great players but not so much strength in depth." " Tevez Drags Up ... (link)
