Texans-Packers: Houston Ices Green Bay On a Last-Second Field Goal
The last the Houston Texans and the Green Bay Packers played each other was Nov. 21, 2004. Ryan Longwell won the game with a 46-yard field goal in Houston. The Texans and Packers met again last Sunday, and a kicker won the game again.
However, this time it would be Kris Brown as the Texans won 24-21 in Green Bay, with a temperature three degrees above zero.
The Texans (6-7) won three straight games for the second time this season and have a two game lead over the Jacksonville Jaguars for third in the AFC South. The Texans won in spite of four turnovers that lead to 21 points for the Packers.
Matt Schaub returned from injury and completed 28-of-42 passes, for 414 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Schaub’s last action was in Week Nine at Minnesota. The 414 passing yards was a career-high for Schaub.
