The Blue Screen arrives in Albany

 
The Daily News’ Albany Bureau is officially open. I have reported on time to training camp, so I won’t be subject to any fines. And you’ll be undoubtedly not surprised to learn that a dark cloud followed me all the way up the thruway and it’s raining pretty steadily on the University at Albany campus. As a result, the annual camp-opening picnic has been canceled. So, unfortunately, has the annual Media vs. Coaches softball game. I think it might be the first rainout in the history of the series. The game will very likely not be made up later in camp. I think the coaches are just scared of us, quite frankly. Anyway, despite the rain, Tom Coughlin and his assistant coaches will address the media later on today, so check back later for much more. *** By the way, ex-Giant Jeremy Shockey will take his physical for the New Orleans Saints today.
