The Bottom Line for USF Fans

 
The Tampa Bay area has enough talent in the high school ranks every four years to win a national championship with. The bottom line is Jim Leavitt does not have enough money for assistant coaches and he needs to be more creative and skillful in his hiring. All his good assistants leave for more money at bigger programs. The defensive line coach for LSU, receivers coach from FSU, and defensive line coach for Florida all left USF for more money at their respective new programs. Also, there are too many Florida, FSU, and Miami people in Tampa who are negative toward USF, and it affects recruiting. Those people need to ask themselves why they do not live in Tallahassee, Gainesville, and Miami. The defense gets stops when it needs to. The answer is to get a $1.2 million coaching staff for the offense. A $500,000 offensive coordinator, then $700,000 for the rest of the staff. Or, Leavitt needs to get creative and hire an up-and-coming guy, similar to Tulsa 's offensive coordinator. Heck why not ... (link)
