The Cavs want Vince Carter? The World Famous LayupDrill RumorMill 11/17/08 Another Monday, and another wild trade rumor circulating involving the Cavs. Last week, Cleveland was looking at adding Antonio McDyess to their front court . Now, the News-Herald is reporting that Cleveland will look at acquiring Vince Carter from New Jersey. Many league insiders feel that Vince Carter is the last piece that the Nets have to unload to complete their overhaul. The Nets rebuilding process does not include Carter, who clearly is on the downside of his career. The possibility of having King James and Vince Carter together would definitely be interesting. Another team throwing their name in the Zach Randolph sweepstakes, should the Knicks decide to let him go, are the Clippers. The Knicks want no part of Chris Kaman, who the Clippers have put on sale like he was a Black Friday special, but as of now there are few takers. In order to get Randolph to LA, their would have to be another team involved. ... (link)
