As an unborn baby, Tim Tebow was nearly aborted.
Tebow's parents, Bob and Pam Tebow, were missionaries to the Philippines in 1987. While pregnant with the future Heisman Trophy winner, Pam contracted amoebic dysentery after drinking contaminated water. She was told by her physician that the medications that she needed to help her recover would damage her unborn child and that she needed to have the child aborted.
As Christians, the Tebows do not believe in abortions; therefore, she refused.
Had she not, the world would have missed out on one of the best, if not the best college football players to ever play the game. The Tebows held their breath, but when Little Tim arrived, he was only skinny and rather long.
Today, Tebow is anything but small; he uses his 6'3" frame and 235 pounds to make a habit of running over opposing defensive players on a regular basis.
