The Time To Respect Penn State Is Overdue

 
The Penn State Nittany Lions are now a very respectable 6-0. It's time for the pollsters and skeptical fans to start believing in what the Nittany Lions are putting out on the field every week, and giving respect where it's due. I'll start with the lovable—should be everyone's favorite coach—Joe Paterno. This man has surpassed Bobby Bowden's winning record, and has guided this year's pride of Nittany Lions to a 6-0 record. Halfback Evan Royster rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown, his longest, a 26-yard gain. Royster also recorded four catches for 56 yards. Starting Quarterback, Daryl Clark, was 18 of 26 for 226 yards, and scored a touchdown of his own on a one-yard run. Purdue Quarterback, Chris Painter, was only 13 of 22 for 112 yards. Penn State's defense played an excellent game today, shutting out the Boilermakers until midway through the fourth quarter, the final score was 20-6.
