Theo Epstein: Please Don't Trade the Kids!

 
Ok, yes, I'm an Oregonian (proud of it). Yes, I love the Sox (Proud of that, too), and no, I'm not a bandwagoner that just hopped on because two Oregonians are on the team. I've been a fan since 1981 and a Yankee Hater since birth. That being said, I am writing an open letter to the team's owners and GM.   Dear Sox, I am a huge Sox fan and want nothing more than to see you guys kick serious tail every year, winning the AL East and the World Series. I know you have a lot on your plate with playoffs coming up, and I know you're probably looking at some relievers and starting pitchers to solve a problem we may have, but I do have one request: Please don't trade Lowrie and Ellsbury. I think these two particular assets to our team are invaluable, with their attitude, work ethic, athletic ability, and stud potential. Think about Pedroia and Lowrie, two young infielders on our team for the years to come? How great would that be? Think about having a solid center fielder with the ... (link)
