Thorrington's goal lifts Fire over Toronto FC (AP)

 
John Thorrington blocked a clearing pass in front of Toronto goalkeeper Greg Sutton and scored in stoppage time to give the Chicago Fire a 2-1 victory over Toronto FC on Saturday night. Chris Rolfe gave Chicago a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute, but Toronto tied it in the 59th minute on a goal by second half substitute Abdus Ibrahim. (link)
