Thoughts on the final game

 
What a night! I’m getting chills just thinking about everything that happened Sunday night at The House That Ruth Built. I’m guessing (and hoping!) the Yankees will issue a DVD to capture all of the moments of the final game at the Stadium, because there were so many things to remember about the evening. However, I’m going to keep this morning’s Squawk brief, as I’ve gotten sick with a bad cold. I started feeling sick yesterday afternoon, and I’m feeling really weak now. Just my luck. But I did think that Derek Jeter hit just the right tone with his speech to the crowd. And the victory lap around the Stadium was spectacular. It’s all bittersweet, though, because not only is the Stadium closing, but the Yankees are not making the playoffs. At least the Yanks didn’t have their tragic number turn to zero last night, and at least they closed with a victory, ending on a high note. What did you think of last night’s game? Leave us a ...
