Ticket Stock Market: Rooting for the Ravens Can Turn a Profit

I knew that seat licenses for the Ravens were expensive. The father of my wife’s friend cashed in his beloved rights and turned over nearly $7,000 in profit two years ago. Now the Baltimore Sun has caught wind of the burgeoning enterprise , and how local fans are trading seats and licenses like stocks, even in down economy. Edwards and other fans and ticket brokers have learned that the economy may be sluggish, but Ravens supporters aren’t. The average PSL price sold through STR Marketplace’s site, seasonticketrights.com, fell from $4,200 in 2008 to $3,400 so far this year. But that’s still up about 300 percent from 1998. And just think, you would never see M&T Bank Stadium run over with fans from the enemy side . Savvy, loyalty, and winning—that’s what Ravens football does. Technorati Tags: Baltimore Ravens (link)
