Tigers re-sign Santiago for one year

 
Less than two weeks after trading for shortstop Edgar Renteria, the Tigers retained their former shortstop, Ramon Santiago, by agreeing to terms on a one-year Major League contract. Santiago's role in 2008 will likely be as a utility infielder. [link]
