Timberwolves-Kings: Al Jefferson Shines in Minnesota Victory

 
A 98-96 win over the Kings is not what I expected for the Timberwolves. A win I predicted—but not this closely—kept me on the edge of my computer chair (the game was not on TV where I live). Tonight's game looked scary at the end. I like most Timberwolves fans probably kept thinking "Dude, don't blow this game!" Luckily, the Timberwolves edged out the Kings by two points. Al Jefferson was Minnesota's leading scorer with 21 points, also grabbing ten rebounds and two blocks. Rashad McCants provided his usual off-the-bench scoring with 15 points. Both Calvin Booth and Sebastian Telfair were held out tonight due to injuries that they should be recovered from by Saturday night. Maybe it's only me, but I kept asking myself, "Was Corey Brewer the right draft choice in 2007? Also why does he start?" Brewer, in only 27 minutes, managed to put in eight points and went four for nine from the field. I'm not doubting his abilities whatsoever. The kid is good, but he needs to work on his jump ...
