Top Ten Teams After The First Saturday of College Football

 
After an exciting first day of college football, there have been some upsets, as well as some teams getting steamrolled. Here's my top ten after the first Saturday.   10) Alabama Yea, I know they were ranked No. 24 coming into Saturday, but if any of you witnessed their dominance of No. 9 Clemson, you'll agree with this. John Parker Wilson might get ripped apart when the SEC schedule hits, but he looked awfully good against the Tigers. Not to mention, the young 'Bama defense held Clemson's running back duo C.J. Spiller and James Davis to 20 rushing yards. That's insane. Nick Saban has things heading in the right direction in Tuscaloosa.   9) West Virginia You might be wondering how it is possible for a team who won by 27 points to drop a spot in the top ten. Well, despite Pat White's five touchdown passes, the WVU defense gave up 21 points to a Division 1-AA opponent. That just can't happen if the Mountaineers and Bill Stewart are to win the Big East.
