Toronto tops Real Salt Lake (AP)

Toronto FC newcomer Laurent Robert scored on a free kick in the 31st minute Saturday for a 1-0 win against Real Salt Lake in their MLS home opener. Robert, a former French international who was signed by Toronto this month, scored the game-winner from just outside the top of the 18-yard box, firing the ball through the Salt Lake wall and past goalkeeper Nick Rimando.
