Two Days Later: The Bears May Have The Last Laugh

 
48 hours later, the Bears have won and the Vikings have lost.  After NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell handed out suspensions to Vikings defensive tackles Kevin Williams and Pat Williams, smiles abound in the Windy City. Also included in the suspension party were Saints running back Deuce McAllister, defensive end Will Smith, and defensive end Charles Grant.  Texans long snapper Bryan Pittman could not escape the dragnet either.  All six players have been found to be in violation of the NFL's substance-abuse policy.  All tested positive StarCaps, a diuretic that can act as a masking agent for certain types of steroids. More suspensions may be on the way as Falcons defensive tackle Grady Jackson also tested positive for the banned substance.  His case is still under investigation. Angelo Wright, both Pat and Kevin Williams' agent has been making noise about filing motions in federal court seeking injunctures against the suspensions.  This is to delay the ... (link)
