North Carolina continues to blow away the college basketball world with its recruiting. Latest to commit to the Heels is 6-5 junior guard Leslie McDonald from Memphis White Station, a probable McDonald’s All American who should be a perfect compliment to 6-3 junior commit Dexter Strickland of St. Patrick’s and/or blue chip point guard Larry Drew, an incoming freshman from Woodland Hills, Calif. We were really happy to hear the Garden wants to get into the NCAA mix for games, beginning in the year 2012. If Philly and Boston can get regionals, we can’t see why our arena shouldn’t merit it, especially given the enormous success of the Big East Tournament at that venue. We just hope the Garden can clear out four straight days on its calendar for the event.

Ellington: first round or back to school
unc5corners.blogspot.com 6/12/2008 — Going around the UNC blogosphere I found some great stuff on Wayne Ellington on WRAL.com. Check out the video interview that he did yesterday, I think there is a lot said and yet a lot to still be answered.
Green: Maybe, maybe not, coming back
unc5corners.blogspot.com 6/12/2008 — The more I read about Danny Green, the more I think he is making mistakes that are just "blind" ones. I read today about what he told the media yesterday after working out with the Wizards. What he said was mind boggling in a way and yet I can understand it, if it is done for the right reason.
