Dempesy and Brian Ching each had a pair of goals. Donovan notched his 36th while Michael Bradley and Eddie Johnson joined in the scoring. Danny Szetela was the lone player thus far recalled to the US National Team for the upcoming second leg match against Barbados. I’d expect a new goalkeeper to be added to the squad sometime today. Here's a selection of post-game quotes from the U.S.-Barbados World Cup qualifier (and no, none from Coach Bob Bradley - he's a terrible quote): Brian Ching on the importance of the opening goal in the first minute: Clint (Dempsey) opened them up in the first minute. ... We capitalized on that the rest of the game." Landon Donovan on the quick free kick that led to the goal: "We don't ...Buddle for USMNT?

Just another thought here. Excepting today’s rout of Barbados it seems that the USMNT is still lacking a consistent finisher up top. Does Buddle deserve another look? I have to say that Eddie Johnson has been unimpressive as of late. He’s a bit lumbering. And Ching, while providing a great target in the air, is not as impressive in creating chances. A first minute goal by Clint Dempsey off a Carlos Bocanegra pass put the US on top and it has been all USA since. Michael Bradley doubled the lead in the 12th minute after a flurry in the box, and Pablo Mastroeni deflected a long shot off Brian Ching's back in the 20th minute for the final goal of the half. Freddy Adu came in for an injured Mastroeni in the 26th minute. Tune in to Revolution ...Half Time: Barbados-U.S.A.

The U.S. leads 3-0 after the first 45 minutes and while it's not exactly shooting practice, this can hardly be construed as a competitive game either. The U.S. went ahead after just 54 seconds, Carlos Bocanegra crossing to Clint Dempsey for the easy goal with Barbados still mentally snoozing on a Caribbean beach. The U.S. made it two after 13 minutes, a toe poke from Brian Ching being ...So Cal Style: USA's 8-0 win over BARBADOS at the HDC makes history
