Virginia Tech and Arizona State are this year's Syracuse, and Hokies coach Seth Greenberg is suddenly sounding very much like Orange coach Jim Boeheim did last March. The Hokies and Sun Devils were No. 1 seeds in the 32-team NIT, the traditional consolation prize for the best teams left out of the NCAA tournament.

idiotsonsports.blogspot.com 3/18/2008 — Some seeding issues aside, there's a general consensus that this year's NCAA Tournament field is basically pretty fair in terms of who got in, and who didn't make it. I'd argue that its more a result of a certifiable lack quality teams this year than anything else, but nonetheless it's still an interesting exercise to examine how teams that may have felt slighted have reacted.
