Vikings-Saints: Preview and Predictions

 
On Monday Night Football this week, we have two underachieving NFC teams, the New Orleans Saints (2-2) and the Minnesota Vikings (1-3). Both have gotten off to slow starts, with the Vikings being slower out of the gate. Tarvaris Jackson quickly lost his starting position after being inconsistent in the first two games. The offense as a whole has become a little more than the one-dimensional running attack it's been for a while. Gus Frerotte has brought experience and a little threat of the play-action, which Jackson lacked. The Saints, however, have had injuries on offense to Marques Colston and Jeremy Shockey, which have depleted their receiving core. However, Drew Brees has not lost one step in being, as some see it, the MVP through the first four weeks by passing for 300-plus yards a couple of times already. Reggie Bush has also produced by being the leading receiver, with 31 catches this year and been a total playmaker for the Saints this year. This Monday-night game sure ... (link)
