... . We'd love it if Rasner goes out and matches (or even bests) Johan. It irks us a bit (and it has to irk Hank ) that the Mets saved Johan for the Yankees ... like they're rudely flaunting their new toy or something. Overall, we don't really love interleague play. For example, it's not really fair that the Yanks play the Mets six times while the Rays play the Marlins (though admittedly the Marlins are decent this season). That being said, we do really enjoy these intracity rivalry games. Apparently ...

... for manufactured giddiness regarding the Subway Series, which, to me, was played out years ago.
Right now, considering the standings, I’d rather the Mets play three games against the Marlins, Phillies or Braves, as opposed to the American League’s Yankees.
That said, if you’re interested in the Subway Series and the hype surrounding it, check out the New York Post, the Journal News, New York Sun, Daily News, again the Daily News, and again the Daily News.
