Wakefield, Timlin share historic shutout

 
Tim Wakefield and Mike Timlin had no idea they were making history Tuesday night. For the first time in baseball's modern era, the Boston Red Sox had two pitchers over 40 combine on a shutout. Wakefield gave up just two hits in eight innings and Timlin got the final three outs of a 5-0 victory over the Tigers. [link]

The weather forecast isn’t looking to pretty tonight in Detroit as the Boston Red Sox and Tigers look to play game 3 of their 4-game set. The forecast calls for a 60% chance of showers with 20 to 30 MPH winds. It has been raining at Comerica Park for most of the day.
