After suffering a horrendous nine game losing streak, the Golden State Warriors Head Coach Don Nelson expressed a huge sigh of relief after his team edged out a narrow victory in Oklahoma on December 8.
Nelson said, "We didn't win the world championship, but it sure felt like it."
Two nights later on December 10, Nelson preached defense from the sidelines as the Warriors faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks. With Corey Maggette and Brandan Wright unavailable due to injuries, Nelson effectively inserted every player on the floor except he forgot point guard Marcus Williams.
However, the surprise arrived from four players most would have not expected to play this well even in an exhibition game: Kelenna Azubuike, CJ Watson, Marco Belinelli, and Anthony Morrow combined for 63 of the Warriors' 119 points against the Bucks.
Most importantly, every aforementioned player illustrated what the 68-year old coach had been missing.
