Warriors miss playoffs despite 48 wins (AP)

Never before has a 48-win NBA team been forced to prepare for the lottery instead of the playoffs the day after the season ended. That's the predicament the Golden State Warriors are in this year, after their best season in 14 years wasn't enough to make it into the postseason in the power-packed Western Conference.

The Biggest Loser: I’d be tempted to say the Miami Heat, but really, they’re going to get a good draft pick and hopefully have a healthy D-Wade and Shawn Marion next season, so things aren’t all that bad. Really, I guess it goes to the Warriors whose 48 wins would have put them at the number 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.
