Washington favorite to make roster

After 11 seasons in the Minor Leagues, it appears that infielder Rico Washington may finally get "the call." Washington, a veteran of 1,134 games and 3,980 at-bats in the Minors, is the favorite to take the final open spot on the Cardinals' roster. Infielder Brendan Ryan is likely to begin the season on the disabled list, opening up a big league job. (link)
