We're rained out

The Subway Series opener tonight is rained out and there is no makeup date, though it won’t be this weekend. The Yankees are skipping Darrell Rasner tomorrow so Andy Pettitte can stay on his regular rest. Pettitte will face Johan Santana, last night’s scheduled Met starter, tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Stadium. Rasner will be available in the bullpen Saturday and Sunday. Several people around the Stadium tonight were predicting the teams would play a split doubleheader - which they have twice in the past - during the series where the Yankees are at Shea June 27-29. If you’re holding ducats for tonight’s game, you can use them for the rescheduled game, when that’s decided. Or you can exchange your paid tickets for any regular season game at the Stadium within 12 months of the postponed game. - by Anthony McCarron [link]
