Westbrook sharp against Nats

Jake Westbrook was sharp in his start on Sunday, striking out five over three scoreless innings in a 5-2 victory over the Indians in the home half of their split-squad games vs. the Nationals. Homers by Josh Barfield, Andy Marte and Jason Michaels lead the offense.

The Indians have suggested that the change in leagues, better pitching in the American League Central division and the general adjustments that must occur in a sophomore season are among the reasons for Barfield’s decline.
