What's the deal with Robinson Cano?

 
Yesterday’s game should never have gotten as close as it did - when your team stakes its starter to an 11-2 lead, you kind of expect not to have to go to the bullpen in the fourth inning - but we’re beginning to expect not only bad starts from Sidney Ponson, but sloppy errors from Robinson Cano. And sure enough, they both delivered yesterday, helping to let the Tigers score some runs. At least the Yanks hung on to win, though. And Cano made things worse by what he said to the media yesterday. Cano was all peeved because reporters criticized him in the press after he left the clubhouse without speaking to them Saturday. Instead of being a standup guy and explaining his dopey throw in that loss, Cano took off early. Here’s his explanation, from today’s Daily News: Cano bolted the clubhouse before reporters had a chance to speak with him on Saturday, but he said he saw the media assembled around Alex Rodriguez as he prepared to leave, and when nobody stopped him on his ...
