What's the story with A-Rod and Madonna?

 
In my June 19 squawk, I wrote about the lack of headlines for Alex Rodriguez this year, and how the media just wasn’t covering him the way they used to. Even the fact that he admitted to text-messaging Pete Rose drew a collective yawn. Anyhow, I noted in that day’s blog entry: A-Rod’s got to be wondering, though, what he has to do to make the back page of the Daily News. Hope he doesn’t decide to show up at home plate wearing the Giambi thong, just to get some attention! Well, he hasn’t done that - yet. But A-Rod has been reportedly spotted visiting Madonna for late-night visits in her Central Park apartment. And not so surprisingly, people are talking about Alex again. Shocker. Do I think there’s something there? Nah. The two of them have a lot in common, and it’s not just having Guy Oseary as their manager. They’re both rich, famous, and love publicity.
