Why I Want To Say Goodbye to 2009
Life goes by faster than the speed of light, and I'm usually the first to say enjoy the moments that you have, but 2009 has been a thorn in my flesh and I'm ready to say good riddance. It has been, to say the least, the most horrible year of football in the history of football. It has been a big pile of pain, mixed with some heartache, and stirred together with mass chaos. It has been a year I'd like to forget.
For starters, I set myself up for failure where my Bulldawgs are concerned. I, the self-proclaimed "Bulldawg Homer," failed to buy into the low expectations thrown around before the season started, and therefore fell apart when the harsh reality began to set in. I knew the schedule wasn't favorable, I knew twe had lost about $100 million worth of talent, but somewhere in my deluded mind I reasoned that Georgia was just, well, Georgia, and we don't have bad years. I was wrong.
