Why Bob Huggins Does Not Deserve Coach of the Year
Published 3/23/2008 by Mark Morrison at Bleacher Report - College Basketball
As we all watched on Saturday, Duke suffered a 73-67 defeat to West Virginia and Bob Huggins. I think back and remember it wasn't that long ago when Huggins was the coach at Cincinnati where he was at the top of his conference every year. I'm one to give credit when credit's due and I personally don't believe Huggins deserves any. Every year he has had a star player. This year, Joe Alexander has carried him to the top. This is why I am giving my thumbs down for Huggins to be coach of the year.

West Virginia head basketball coach Bob Huggins was happy that his team was able to upset Duke in the second round of the NCAA tournament, but the surprisingly subdued Huggins was quick to point out that sometimes victory comes at a price.
